Vic Wright’s sculptures have harmonious proportions and shapes, delicate colors which mitigate the hardness of the material already softened by rounded lines.
The works of Vic Wright, in their refined minimalism, recall that balance of forms that define the monumental sculptures of Arnaldo Pomodoro and evoke the natural world in complete new contexts. Her works and are made by shapes cast by white concrete and other different materials such as metal powders, pigments and gold leaf.
Vic Wright, born in Wigan, Greater Manchester, after graduating in Fine Arts from Humberside University, moved to London where she lived and worked for several years. She now works in her studio in Manchester, has exhibited at the Form Lifestyle Store and has published on Wilma and Material Source.
